Raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Carmel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Graphic Art from Drake University. She currently resides in South Florida with her husband, fellow photographer Robert Brantley. Together, they operate Brantley Photography, a commercial studio specializing in architectural and interior design photography.
